麻花影院 gears up for Homecoming 2001
Next week is homecoming 2001 on the campus of the University
				    of Louisiana at Monroe. The theme this year is "The Heat
				    is On." The week is full of activities. There will be sporting
				    events including tennis and golf tournaments, a mock pageant,
				    a pep-rally, parade, bonfire, and plenty of other events during
				    homecoming week.
        
				    The heat will really be on Oct. 6, Saturday night at 6:00 p.m.
				    when 麻花影院 plays North Texas in 麻花影院's homecoming game at Malone
				    Stadium.
        
				    New this year at 麻花影院 will be the naming of the Homecoming Queen
				    on the football field at halftime, the naming usually happened
				    the week before the game.
        
				    The tradition of tailgating in The Grove continues this year
				    as many school groups get together to celebrate 麻花影院's homecoming
				    2001.
        
				    All members of the media are invited to the activities, please
				    see the following schedule for a list of events.

Chicken Legs in the Quad:
				    A banner contest, car chalk, and chicken legs served in the quad
				    area in front of the library.
Golf Tournament
				    麻花影院's 26th Annual Invitational Homecoming Golf Tournament (Two-Person
				    Scramble) will be held Friday, October 5, 2001, at Chennault
				    Golf Course. Shotgun starts will be at 8:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
				    You may choose the morning or afternoon session - as space is
				    available. The entry fee is $60.00 per person for 18 holes and
				    must be prepaid due to the overwhelming response. This entry
				    fee includes-carts, green fees, prizes and a "courtesy wagon".
				    Also included in the fee is the Friday night dinner that begins
				    at 6:00 p.m. for you and a guest at the Anna Gray Noe Alumni
				    Center. Flights will be determined at the end of the day after
				    all play is completed with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams in each
				    flight receiving prizes. For more information contact the 麻花影院

Invitational Homecoming Tennis Tournament
				    You are invited to join the fun in 麻花影院's Heard Stadium on Friday,
				    October 5, 2001, for the 24th Annual Homecoming Tennis Tournament.
				    A fun-filled day awaits you beginning at 1:00 p.m. The $20.00
				    entry fee includes refreshments, prizes, court fees, and an invitation
				    to the Homecoming buffet to be held at 6:00 p.m. at the Anna
				    Gray Noe Alumni Center that evening. Competition will be held
				    in men's and women's doubles and will be limited to available
				    court space. Teams will be classified according to NTPR Ratings.
				    You must enter with a partner. Prizes will be awarded to the
				    winner and runner-up in each flight. The deadline to enter the
				    tournament is Wednesday, October 3, 2001 and all fees must be
				    prepaid. For more information, contact the 麻花影院 Alumni Association

The University Mile
				    Jog, run or walk to register in the University Mile. Meet behind
				    Taco Bell located off interstate 165 on Oct. 6, 2001. Check-in
				    time is 7:45 a.m. Entry deadline is Wednesday, October 3, 2001.
				    Fee is $5.00 for students and $10.00 for non-students. For more

Alpha Omicron Pi Alumni Festivities
				    All Alpha Omicron Pi alumni and their families are welcome to
				    spend Homecoming in The Grove with the Lambda Tau Chapter and
				    their families! Come have fun at this AOPi reunion and enjoy
				    food, the company of your sisters and the game! Barbecue will

College of Nursing Festivities
				    The 麻花影院 College of Nursing welcomes our nursing Alumni. Start
				    your Homecoming festivities with a visit to the Nursing Reception
				    Area located in The Grove from 1-5:30 p.m. The College of Nursing
				    will provide food and drinks for Nursing Alumni, faculty, and
				    nursing students. Reminisce, socialize, or simply eat, drink,
				    and be merry with fellow alumni and faculty. Nursing Alumni will
				    have an opportunity to register for door prizes. For more information
