Β黨ӰԺ welcomes Iggy Azalea for Homecoming concert

MONROE, La. β€” The famous Australian rapper, Amethyst Amelia Kelly, better known by her stage name, Iggy Azalea, will perform at the University of Louisiana Monroe's Fant-Ewing Coliseum on Thursday, October 13 at 8 p.m.

Iggy’s performance was secured by Β黨ӰԺ’s Campus Activities Board, which organized the concert as a part of Β黨ӰԺ's Homecoming week.Μύ

In 2006, as a 16 year-old, Iggy left Australia and flew to the United States to pursue her dream.

Her professional career started in 2011 with the release of her first full-length mix-tape project titled β€œIgnorant Art.” In 2014, she released her debut album, β€œThe New Classic,” which debuted at number three on the Billboard 200 chart, with first-week sales topping 52,000 across the United States.

Iggy has collaborated with many well-known artists throughout her career. The most notable ones include Nicki Minaj, Jennifer Lopez, Ariana Grande, Britney Spears and Demi Lovato.

She was the first woman and the first non-American rapper to be featured in XXL Magazine’s β€œTop 10 Freshman List” in 2012.

Iggy’s most notable songs include β€œFancy,” β€œBlack Widow,” β€œWork” and β€œTeam.”

Early bird ticket prices are as follows:

Tickets for Β黨ӰԺ students cost $20 for general admission, and $25 for floor seats. Tickets for the general public cost $30 for general admission, and $35 for floor seats.

Ticket prices will increase by $5 on September 29, and remain the same until the beginning of the concert.Μύ
